I am completely obsessed with this blog.
On it, fairytale fanatic Leslie Kay posts outfits inspired by Disney characters. It sounds a little silly, but the outfits are actually quite cute and totally wearable. Each one manages to give off a vibe that is unmistakably of a specific character - and they’re not all princesses, either! There are outfits inspired by everything from Flounder (Little Mermaid), to Hedwig (Harry Potter), to the Elephant Graveyard in The Lion King. They’re awesome.
The princess fashions are incredible, with shorter dresses and higher heels than their characters would ever wear in their animated lives. The sidekicks are brilliant, relying heavily on color to get their point across (which they do). The male characters are particularly well-conceived, as these posts are primarily outfits for women, yet somehow they still manage to epitomize the aesthetic of princes and heroes.
This Leslie Kay knows her Disney, and she knows her fashion, and she is doing some amazing work on this site. Anyone who was ever a kid, you’ve got to check her out. I am impressed.
